Business Unit: Chief Data Office, Enterprise Data Architecture
Mandate: Govern and assure the end-to-end onboarding and integration of data into Absa Group’s enterprise data platforms, data warehouses and big-data environments. This included defining data requirements, metadata, taxonomies, business rules, data-quality controls, transformation logic and source-to-target integration specifications. I ensured that data was fit for ingestion, moved accurately and traceably from source systems through the processing and semantic layers to reporting, and that the solutions developed aligned with approved data requirements and quality standards.
Achievement: Successfully delivered 100% of the assigned project’s data-analysis and onboarding requirements before leaving the organisation. Ensured that all approved data requirements were accurately developed and implemented within the enterprise data platform, with the required data fully ingested, quality-assured and supported by complete metadata and taxonomy definitions. Closed the project scope with no outstanding data-analysis or ingestion requirements, leaving a complete, traceable and fit-for-purpose data solution ready for business, reporting and analytical use.
